Lindsey & Jonathon... pre-wedding shoot

I first met Lindsey & Jonathon nearly a year ago when they booked me to photograph their wedding day. Needless to say the three of us couldn't believe where that year had gone!

A lot has happened during that year, obviously - but for Lindsey & Jonathon a life changing event is due... but I'll touch on that when I blog their wedding images!

The fact that we first met almost a year ago is one of the reasons why I like to meet up before the wedding for a pre-wedding shoot. Not only do we get some lovely informal portaits, which can be used in one way or another on the wedding day, we also get to chat about the plans for the day in more detail and continue to build our relationship. The last thing either of us want is for me to arrive on the morning of the wedding and the bride & groom don't recognise me!

Lindsey & Jonathon get married at the end of May at Highgate House. Knowing both of them a little better and understanding the Indian wedding customs that will form part of the wedding I know it's going to be an absolute smasher - I can't wait!

Michelle & Neil... pre-wedding shoot

It's safe to say that Michelle & Neil didn't give themselves much time to organise their wedding day as the planning really only started in October of last year and I first met them in late October.

We met again back in February on a cold Sunday morning in the Northamptonshire countryside for their pre-wedding shoot. They were both a little apprehensive about their pre-wedding shoot as neither of them really enjoys having their picture taken. But they soon started to relax and enjoy the experience, sharing some laughs during our time together, which I think really shows in their pictures.

Michelle & Neil are clearly made for each other and are great fun to be around and I can't wait to share their wedding day with them next Saturday at Highgate House in Northamptonshire.

Sophie & Shaun...pre-wedding shoot {Northampton Wedding Photography}

I'm photographing Sophie & Shaun's wedding later this month at Highgate House and we caught up with each other last month for their pre-wedding shoot.

I've worked with many brides (and some grooms!) who don't like seeing themselves in a picture, more often than not it's how they perceive themselves in an image, and often this is difficult to overcome.

Thankfully Sophie was surprised with the results of our time together and is now a little more relaxed about her wedding day images.

Hannah & Jack...pre-wedding shoot {Northampton Wedding Photography}

Hannah & Jack get married in late August at The Church of St Mary and All Saints, Fotheringhay, with their reception following at The Falcon Inn in Fortheringhay.

Having postponed our original shoot date due to the weather we met up at the weekend for their pre-wedding shoot in the stunning grounds of Burghley House in Stamford.

We spent a couple of hours together and it was lovely to share that time with them and watch them start to relax in front of the camera, and really start to enjoy being in front of the camera.

They're a lovely couple and I'm really looking forward to sharing their wedding day with them.

Angela & Andrew...pre-wedding shoot {Northampton Wedding Photography- in Scotland!}

I caught up with Angela & Andrew at the weekend in the Bedfordshire countryside for their pre-wedding shoot. Having been 'rained off' the previous weekend it was lovely to be blessed with some glorious sunshine for our time together.

Angela & Andrew get married on Easter Monday at the beautiful Luss Parish Church in Luss, Scotland, followed by a reception at the Lodge on Lochlomond just down the road.

I've known Andrew for a number of years through my corporate commissions and only met Angela recently, they're a lovely couple and the same things make us laugh - I can't wait to share their wedding day with them in Scotland.
