Lindsey & Jonathon... Married at Highgate House {Northampton Wedding Photography}

I shared Lindesy & Jonathon's wedding day with them back in May ay Highgate House in Creaton.

We first met there at one of the Wedding Showcases Highgate House hold and they booked me on the spot.

Whilst the wedding ceremony was a civil service the day was also influenced by Indian wedding traditions with the celebrations starting long before the wedding day. Jonathon's family had come over from India and it was wonderful to share a wedding with customs I hadn't experienced before and I'd never been to a wedding where a 'rickshaw' made a surprise apperance!

It was an honour to share Lindsey & Jonathon's wedding day with them, they're a lovely couple and I wish them many years of happy marriage together.

Michelle & Neil... Married at Highgate House {Northampton Wedding Photography}

Back in March I shared Michelle & Neil's wedding day with them at Highgate House in Creaton.

Having spent a fun morning with Michelle & Neil, their daughter Isabella and Michelle's mum Julie back in February for their pre-wedding shoot I was really looking forward to spending their wedding day with them.

I met Michelle, Julie and the bridesmaids nice and early at Highgate House and started documenting the wedding day with the bridal preparations and managed 5 minutes with Neil as he got ready. The wedding ceremony was conducted in the stunning Baronial Hall which provides a wonderful atmosphere for the ceremony to take place in.

Considering that Michelle & Neil didn't really start planning their wedding until October of last year everything was perfect (I think Michelle's mum can take a lot of credit for that!) and everybody had a wonderful day.

Michelle & Neil were blessed with a beautiful sunny day, but the temperature was kept low by a bitterly cold wintry wind.

Thank you Michelle & Neil for choosing me to photograph your wedding it was a real pleasure to share your wedding day with you.

Lindsey & Jonathon... pre-wedding shoot

I first met Lindsey & Jonathon nearly a year ago when they booked me to photograph their wedding day. Needless to say the three of us couldn't believe where that year had gone!

A lot has happened during that year, obviously - but for Lindsey & Jonathon a life changing event is due... but I'll touch on that when I blog their wedding images!

The fact that we first met almost a year ago is one of the reasons why I like to meet up before the wedding for a pre-wedding shoot. Not only do we get some lovely informal portaits, which can be used in one way or another on the wedding day, we also get to chat about the plans for the day in more detail and continue to build our relationship. The last thing either of us want is for me to arrive on the morning of the wedding and the bride & groom don't recognise me!

Lindsey & Jonathon get married at the end of May at Highgate House. Knowing both of them a little better and understanding the Indian wedding customs that will form part of the wedding I know it's going to be an absolute smasher - I can't wait!

Natalie & James... Married at Dodford Manor

My first wedding of 2015 and what a great one to kick off the new year with.

Things have been a bit hectic so far this year so I've only just got around to popping this on the blog.

Natalie & James were married in mid-January at Dodford Manor, a fantastic barn wedding venue in Northamptonshire.

The bridal preparations started at a hotel in Northampton where Natalie and a lot of the guests had stayed the night before the wedding. Natalie and her bridesmaids then moved to Dodford Manor to finish off their hair and make-up preparations.

Despite a harsh, freezing cold winter wind, the rain stayed away and Natalie & James enjoyed some lovely winter sun for their wedding day, even if it was bitterly, bitterly cold in the wind!

Natalie was very calm in the lead up to the cermeony and looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress as she came down the aisle with her father.

It was a real pleasure to share Natalie & James's wedding celebrations and I wish them every happiness for the future.

A few from the day below, including a couple from Natalie & James's honeymoon! Click on any thumbnail for a lerger view.

I've just recieved this lovely email form Natalie & James..

...We knew when we met with Scott that he was the right photographer to capture our moments on our special day. He was a calm presence, and obviously very enthusiastic about what he does. And he does it fabulously! Arriving early in the morning to take some shots while the bride and bridesmaids got ready wasn’t a problem for Scott – despite revealing later the long day he had previously. A True professional. Aside from taking photo’s – Scott turned into unofficial Prosecco opener and pourer for the bridal party prep! Brilliant!

Scott got the photos we had asked for and ploughed through all of our group shots, so that people were not out in the cold for too long. He really captured all of our special moments and to say we are delighted with our pictures would be an understatement. Scott really was great on the day and afterwards, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him...

Michelle & Neil... pre-wedding shoot

It's safe to say that Michelle & Neil didn't give themselves much time to organise their wedding day as the planning really only started in October of last year and I first met them in late October.

We met again back in February on a cold Sunday morning in the Northamptonshire countryside for their pre-wedding shoot. They were both a little apprehensive about their pre-wedding shoot as neither of them really enjoys having their picture taken. But they soon started to relax and enjoy the experience, sharing some laughs during our time together, which I think really shows in their pictures.

Michelle & Neil are clearly made for each other and are great fun to be around and I can't wait to share their wedding day with them next Saturday at Highgate House in Northamptonshire.
